Dr. Lu Wang is currently the Director of Department of Liver Surgery, Shanghai Cancer Center, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Dr. Wang obtained medical degree from China Medical University and his M.S. and PhD degree from Medical Center of Fudan University (former Shanghai Medical University). In 2000, he joined the faculty at Liver Cancer Institute, Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University where he became Professor of the institute. In 2015, Dr. Wang was recruited to Shanghai Cancer Center, Fudan University as the Director of Department of Liver Surgery.
Dr. Wang’s research focuses on hepatobiliary surgery (especially in laparoscopic surgery) and the basic research regarding the angiogenesis with malignant tumor, and some molecular mechanism of metastasis and invasion using new biological techniques. He is a very skillful liver surgeon with over 5000 liver resection experiences and noted for minimally invasive liver surgeries. In addition to gaining expertise in establishing HCC metastatic model methods, Dr. Wang has learned some molecular biological techniques and is capable of examining some biological marker in different ways.
