Dr. Tommaso Maria Manzia is appointed as a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor at Liver Unit of Fondazione PTV, University of Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. He recently won the young Investigator Awards at International Liver Transplantation Society 2017; he is teacher in General Surgery at Tor Vergata University.
In 2012, he received his Doctorate of Transplantation in Tor Vergata University in Rome. After completing a Fellowship in HPB and Liver Transplatation at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham UK (2005-2008), he appointed as Lecturer in Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Manzia is certified with the Scientific National Abilitation as Associated Professor from 2012 and as a Fellow of European Board of Surgery from 2009. He has special interests in Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery. He has authored and co-authored about 60 articles and chapters in peer-reviewed publications, and has given presentations at numerous national and international conferences.
