This focused issue on “Liver Transplantation in NASH and ALD” is edited by Dr. Sanjaya Satapathy, from Liver Transplantation at the Northshore University Hospital/Northwell Health, Manhasset, NY, USA; David E. Bernstein, from Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Manhasset, NY, USA; and Dr. Nitzan C. Roth, from Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Liver Diseases Department of Medicine Northwell Health, Manhasset, NY, USA.

Dr. Sanjaya Satapathy is currently serving as the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at the Northshore University Hospital/Northwell Health. He is also a skilled advanced therapeutic endoscopist particularly in ERCP and EUS. He spearheaded the clinical research program at the Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute. Dr. Satapathy’s research focuses on post-transplant outcomes, particularly in patients with NASH, and hepatitis C.

Dr. David E Bernstein currently is Professor at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. His research interests include Liver Diseases and Hepatitis C.

Dr. Nitzan C. Roth obtained her MD from Keck School of Medicine at USC, USA. She’s currently in Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Liver Diseases Department of Medicine Northwell Health, Manhasset, NY, USA.
